Monkeying Around

What a day fun filled day! Matt got the hot tub cover fixed thanks to 70 mph wind and we got the kids' trampoline up. We jumped around until we couldn't jump any more!!! The kids had a blast!! It was so fun to watch them monkeying around. To top it off I even got an hour to stamp...yeah! Now I'm going to beat my husband and brother at Wii Sports!

Kids Card Pack

I made these kids card packs for fundraisers in the past. I needed a little something extra to go with a gift we got my girlfriend's daughter, her party is tonight. I thought this would be perfect as I just stocked up 50 boxes of crayons, at $.22 each you can't go wrong and the fact I'm stamping and posting this as I'm walking out the door. I used my Pun Fun Stamp set and made a white card for each of the stamps in that set, added envelopes, stamped a cute little tag...added crayons and presto I'm done. Hope you like!

My Mummy

I saw this idea somewhere and I thought these mummy treat holders would be a fun gift for the kids at school or serve as festive table decoration. They are really simple to make, which is a good thing as I have to make 40!

To make these this is what you'll need:
  • Toilet tissue tubes
  • White Paper
  • Clear Packing tape
  • Roll of 2-inch wide gauze
  • Craft Glue (I used glue dots)
  • Googly eyes
  • Small Candies (I would use different stuff then what I put in them...this is all I had on hand)

For each holder, trace one end of the empty tissue tube onto a piece of white paper, then cut out the circle, making it slightly smaller than your trace line. (If you fold the paper into a few layers, you can cut out several circles at once.) Cut the tube in half (you can make two holders per tube) and tape the paper circle to the bottom of each one. Wrap a 2 to 2 1/2 strip of gauze around the tube, first taping the beginning of the gauze to the tube. Gently stretch and twist the gauze as you wrap it to give it some dimension. When you've covered the tube, cut the gauze and tuck the end under a nearby layer. Finally, glue on googly eyes (or use self-adhesive kind), then fill the mummy with candy treats. Enjoy!

A Little of This a Lot of That

To give you an update...I haven't posted in awhile due to the twins being sick. Adison came down with Strep Throat last week, we also had Aiden tested as they do EVERYTHING together! Aiden came out fine....never gave it another thought. He's had this barking cough for a few weeks now, thinking it was allergies we (doctor included) kinda brushed it off. Then the nose bleeds started and coughing until he was sick....I took him in and found out he has a strep infection in his lungs. He is now doing nebulizer treatments numerous times a day along with antibiotics, plus we are trying to keep his activity level low so he doesn't stress his lungs any more then he has to. So, in a nut shell by the end of the day, I've been too tired to stamp. (Sorry)

Tonight I did make a card that I saw a few weeks ago on splitcoast (I totally cased this one, thanks bsktnstamp) when I saw it I knew I had to make it!! I'm sending it to my cousin, Betty who is heading to Mayo Clinic at the end of September. I know it will brighten her day, just knowing we are thinking about her. As everyone I know is getting sick or is sick, I hope this finds you well!

Growing Up

Hard to believe our kids can grow up in an instant. I remember when each of my children were born, people would repeatedly say "enjoy every moment because it goes by in a instant"....so true!! I don't know where the time has gone, seems like yesterday the twins were born. They are now 4 and heading off to preschool in a week, Ashton starts first grade tomorrow. I don't know what I am going to do without Ashton by my side all day, I'm sure it will take the twins time to adjust also. They follow her around and bug her most of the day!! I am sad to see them growing up so fast, but excited for them entering this new stage of independence and learning. Tomorrow I'm sure there will many photos taken, in hopes to freeze time as I know it. Later to preserve those memories in my scrapbooks, so someday we can look back on how fast they really did grow up.

Stawberry Basket

I'm back! I squeezed in a couple hours tonight to clean up my craft room and work on a gift for Ashton's 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Woodbury. Ashton's first day of school will be on Thursday, wish me luck getting everyone up in the morning!!! (Our practice run) I finally got around to making those cute strawberries I've been seeing everywhere. (I filled mine with a Hershey Kiss) I have added a link to the pattern, check it out....they are fun and addicting! I also plan on making a matching 3x3 card set to go along with the strawberry basket tomorrow if I have time. I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel....
