Project Complete

I have been going on no sleep for two nights now. The twins were up at 3am having a party, all dressed, screaming.....I should have went to bed before 1am, but I didn't get there. (Had to many important things to do) I decided I'm tired today and going to bed early tonight. Meaning- Ashton's Ice Cream fundraiser "basket" is complete, if I want it to be or not. It has to be in tomorrow and I don't have high hopes for today for getting anything done.

Enjoy!

Just Another Cold Day In North Dakota

Today can definitely go down as one of the most stressful day's in my life. My head is pounding just thinking of it. Matt is still gone and I have family drama all around me. Making me wonder "why did we move to Bismarck?" Anyway, I did make it through the day in one piece....I got a few hours downstairs in my craft room, I did some major organizing. I'm a little embarrassed by the mess I have created the last couple weeks. I moved furniture and I think I finally feel like I am making progress....I would love $500 to buy new storage organizers and make everything perfect, but it is not in our budget right now. Matt thinks that is the last place I need to add more stuff, too. If he only knew about my HUGE Stampin' Up wish list for February, he would freak. Oh, well it will be HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to myself! I thought I would share my latest addition to Ashton's ice cream basket. I finished packaging up the cards I made yesterday and then I added a small note book. I used my cuttlebug, which I was excited about. The lighting in here is kind of bad so it is hard to see all the detail and "nice" water coloring I did on the ice cream. (Ha-Ha) I bet everyone is sick of ice cream projects at this point, I promise I'm moving on to bigger and better things this weekend. I have sale-a-bration stamp sets to play with!!! Hope everyone had a great day indoors, stamping! I am finally heading off to bed......

Ice Cream, Ice Cream We All Scream for Ice Cream!

Yeah for Ice Cream....Although I don't know why I'm so excited when it is freezing cold outside. We have a little BLIZZARD action going on tonight.....I'm just thankful I don't live in Mandan, ND. They have a little gas leak situation going on and most of the town is without heat (they had to close schools) and it is freezing cold with 50+ mph winds. It almost makes me want to bump my vacation to Arizona up to.....NOW! Anyway, to keep myself busy (my husband is gone for work all week) I decided to wander down to my craft room and finish up my ice cream projects for Ashton's school fundraiser. All baskets are due February 1st....I'm waiting until the last minute, I know. I made six of these cute ice cream cards (from a retired sweet treats set), that I am going to put into a little package with envelopes. It is really hard to see the embossing or the crystal effects I used on the cherry. It almost makes the cherry look and feel real. (Very Cool) Hope everyone is staying "warm" tonight!
Project Supplies: Sweet Treats & Riveting (Retired) Stamp Sets, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White Card Stock, Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pen, Iridescent Ice, Crystal Effects, Circle Punches, Ribbon and Black Marker

So Excited....

I got my sale-a-bration sets and tonight I thought I would mount them as I watch my ebay auctions close. (I'm selling off tons of my retired sets to buy new!!!) Well, I so so tickled pink by the fact these sets are already die cut....NO CUTTING! That was such a treat.....It totally put a smile on my face. I'm sure it said that somewhere and I missed it, but what a surprise! Hope it brightens your day also!!!! FYI: The new mini coming out soon "Occasions" has all the stamp sets die cut also. Yeah!

Happy Stamping!!!

Finally Motivated...

Well after talking all week about getting this "Ice Cream" theme basket done for Ashton's school, I finally went downstairs and started working on it. For those of you that don't know what I am talking about, Ashton's school is doing a fundraiser, something they do every year. Each classroom has a theme for baskets that they will be putting together, Ashton's class has the"Ice Cream" theme. I've had a few ideas brewing in my head for a couple weeks.....I of course couldn't do the simple "Go to the grocery store and buy some sprinkles, toppings, ice cream scoop and throw it in a basket." Nope I had to come up with something out of the box......I really wanted to cover a mini notebook, pen and do some note cards, but had a hard time figuring out how I was going to tie everything together. I knew I had two great "ice cream" (Retired) stamp sets that haven't been used in ages, Sweet Treats and Perfect Party. This began my quest.....I went shopping for ideas, finally the Dollar Tree turned into my inspiration. I found 4 different varieties of Baskin Robbin's Ice Cream flavored Candies, Choco Fudge Mallow Sundae Candy Bag, adorable yellow ice cream shaped cup with a straw that wraps around it, a large chocolate bar (which I covered) and a cute lime green basket. Now I'm proud to say the chocolate bar is covered and I have to begin work on the other items to fill the basket. My good friend, Missy also came up with the idea of adding a cute gift card holder for a local ice cream store....what a great idea!! Now I can't stop the ideas from flowing! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

Project Supplies: Large Chocolate Candy Bar, Canvas background Stamp, Cuttlebug & Swirl Embossing Folder, Ticket & Circle Punch, Perfect Party Stamp Set (Retired), Chocolate Chip Wide Ribbon (Retired), Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Close to Coco, Whisper White Cardstock, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Creamy Carmel, Chocolate Chip and Close to Coco ink pads, and I can't forget sticky strip and dimensionals.

First Scrapbook

Ashton got a scrapbook for Christmas this year and I have been promising her again and again that we are going to get time to work on it. So, tonight I made extra time after supper to start on her very first scrapbook. We talked about some things she wanted to put in it....of course every page was going to have a friend on it. Then we started going through pictures and she kept picking out picture after picture.....it was fun walking down memory lane! Ashton loved looking at all the things she use to do, funny how we forget. So, tonight we started our first two pages off with her favorite Spring activity....checking out the new kitties at Great Grandpa and Grandma Muilenburg's farm in Enderlin. This has become Aiden and Adison's favorite thing also.....we were at the farm last weekend and because it was so cold we saw no "Mommy" kitties. This made everyone sad....they are looking forward to visiting again in the spring. (I will have my camera batteries charged and ready)
