Eat Drink and Be Scary

Tonight is my last minute push to get all my Halloween goodies completed for tomorrow....yes I know it is last minute.  Luckily I started early on a few items or I would really be in a frenzy.  I knew I was going to be behind schedule and doing a lot last minute things as I had surgery last week, but I figured I would be stuck to the couch and I could  maybe work on a few things.  Well, someone had other plans for me.....I slept for about 5 days straight, did nothing as I could hardly sit up for more then 5 minutes.  I am thrilled to be back and feeling much better.  On that note, I better get back at it.....enjoy!  Will be posting throughout the night.

Sweet Halloween Memories

I'm busy getting all my classroom treats ready for tomorrow....never a dull moment, working up to the last second. I thought I better share some things I have been working on, along with a fun Halloween 12 x12 Scrapbook Page I did on a recent scrapbook retreat. It highlights Halloween 2008 when my mother in law was diagnosed with Stomach Cancer. Kids went to trick or treat her in the hospital, she told the kids she dressed up for them. lol It was last Halloween we got to share with her. Hope you have make some Sweet Memories this Halloween....

Witch's Hat

I saw these the other day and I knew I had to make some. I used scraps of Retired Designer Halloween Paper I had on hand. These hats were quick and easy to make and they are just too darn cute not to share. Here is a great tutorial I found...I did make my circles a tad bit bigger as I didn't want to see the Peanut Butter Cups sticking out of the bottom of the hat. Yes, my OCD was kicking in...Enjoy!

Trick or Treat

More Trick or Treat Goodies are in the works for the kids to take to their Halloween Parties on Friday. I bought Mini Play Doh for Aiden and Adison's preschool class, used my favorite Halloween Stamp Set "Batty for You" to decorate them. I just matched up my SU ink to coordinate the color with the lids. This was very quick and easy....I even got the kids involved with layering and punching out the circles. I did have to use Sticky Strip to adhere them to the plastic lid, though. I also made a 2, 4, 6, 8 Acetate Box, which I filled with chocolate eye balls. I only ended up making one of these as I ran out of acetate....never fails! Then Ashton wanted to give out pencils to her class and I found these spider rings at Wal-mart that I thought would work great to hold the three pencils together. As I am sitting her right now I just remembered I have a cute spider stamp I could use to add a tag to each of the pencils sets...fun! I'll have to get right on that! I have lots more projects I have to get done before Friday....so, I better get busy!

Freaky Frankenstein Treats

I am finally starting to work on Halloween treats....we recovered from Ashton's bowling party last weekend and went right into the H1N1 flu. The twins got it Monday and took me down with them, I spent 3 days laying with them on the couch. I can honestly say we didn't move much! Ashton never got it and continued going to school, amazing! So, far no one in her class has come down with it....all the washing and hand sanitizer must be paying off. Way to go Mrs. Palczewski! The treats I made today are inspired by my chipboard Frankenstein treat boxes from last year. I decided to make goodie bags instead. These chocolate candy "body parts" are super hard to find this year, I used three candies per bag which works great. (Boxes took a whole bag) Plus these goodie bags are much quicker and as the Halloween Parties are fast approaching, I must move fast. Enjoy!

Template for Halloween Trading Cards

October has turned out to be a roller coaster of a month for us. We've really had our ups and downs!! We just found out yesterday my mother in law has a tumor in her stomach.....we are waiting to hear back on what the prognosis is. I will not have time to upload the template for the trading cards as I said I would, sorry....too much going on to convert the templates and add directions. If you would like the three templates I will gladly e-mail them to you, which is a snap. I will not include directions with each e-mail....all I did was print out the templates on white cardstock and cut them a little smaller then the black trading card which was 2 1/2 x 3. I thought it looked nicer then just done on white cardstock, front and back. I hope the rest you figure out, if you have any questions let me know. Thanks for understanding!!

Halloween Trading Cards

I'm excited to say I'm finally finished with 20 packs of Halloween Trading Cards. I saw an idea for something like this a few years back and couldn't remember where. So, I stayed up one night and made my own templates....which I will be uploading later today. Then I spent one whole night cutting paper and today while the kids were at school....I finally got them together! I thought these would be perfect for Ashton's 1st grade class as they are reading like crazy! Plus it is a great non-candy treat!

Project Supplies: Ghostly Greeting Designer Paper, Booglie Eyes Stamp Set (Retired), Glue Dots, Crayons, and Ribbon.

*Each Trading Card Pack has 4 different riddles (4 cards) with the answer to the riddle on the back, crayons are attached to color the cards.

Halloween Pixies

Thought I would finish up more Halloween Treats tonight (now early morning, 1am) for the upcoming Halloween Parties. I am also going to use the extra ones to attach as a Thank You for everyone that purchased items for Ashton's school fundraiser. She did an outstanding job and raised about $500 for her school!!! I can't wait to see the kids' faces tomorrow morning at breakfast when they see these 250 Pixie sticks all done up for Halloween.

Spooky Spider Halloween Treat

Dig out your Stampin' Up punches gals these spiders are too cute not to make!!! I wish I could say this was my idea, but it has been totally cased by a awesome stamper on Splitcoast. (God bless her soul for sharing). I know this is the treat I'll be passing out this Halloween. They are so easy and fun!! Enjoy!

Mrs. Frankin' Halloween Coaster Box

My freaky frankin' got lonely....he needed a misses. Here she is! I have 10 more ready to assemble today (Mr & Mrs). I took my first one up to the hospital yesterday because my uncle Art had hip replacement....I thought he could use a few spare body parts. Everyone loved it so much, I thought I would try to sell a few. Since I am not doing anything to get my business going since we moved here a year ago, I thought I could earn a little bit to keep up my quarterly sales....every little bit helps. Hope your having a wonderful fall weekend!

Freaky Frankin' Halloween Treat

I found these freaky Halloween Body Parts Candy today, I knew I had to make a chip board coaster Frankenstein. I purchased over 300 coasters over a year ago and I have made manybe one or two projects out of them, so this project really got me excited! My Freaky Frankin' turned out so cute....I'm heading to Big Lots tomorrow to buy more candy. Maybe I'll finally get rid of these 300 coasters that have been gathering dust!

Happy Halloween

Well, Halloween is finally just around the corner. I am proud to say I finished Ashton's Halloween treats early, all 25 of them. I bought Halloween Popcorn from Sam's Club, made a card front that I attached with sticky strip. Ashton's idea was to add the suckers right on the front, which turned out very cute. She is starting to take after her mama. (very proud) I thought for sure I would be burning the midnight oil tonight working on these....so tonight I will have time to put away my Halloween stamps and focus on Christmas.

Now is my time to start working on Christmas cards and gifts, which will be fast approaching. Yeah!!

Count Down Is On....

Well, it is just a couple days until Halloween. Everyone in my house is soooo excited. It is all we can talk about. I have been slowly getting a goodies ready for Ashton's class, I'm sure I'll be up around the clock tonight to make sure it all gets done. A week ago I got the honor of paper crafting with a dear friend, Kim. We made these cute french fry holders and attempted to make a witches shoe, which didn't turn out as well as the pattern??? We'll for sure get it perfected for next year!! I thought I would show off the cute Halloween french fry holder, you can make these for any holiday or event. Enjoy!

I Love Halloween!

Can you believe it, I had time to stamp tonight?! I never thought the piles of boxes would end! We are still not completely unpacked, but are getting closer each day. Today I finally got my craft room unpacked....I always knew I had a lot of stamps, but today putting them away I was a little embarrassed. My craft room has a huge walk in closet, which I filled!!! I'll be taking pictures of my room as soon as I get my camera back from Sony...the shutter button fell off a couple days before our move. I think the good lord didn't want me to take pictures to remember all the boxes and the sad fact we took a semi load and a half to get here. Again another embarrassing moment......Here are the two Halloween cards I created tonight for Ashton's teacher, Mrs. Lacher. I'm doing a goodie basket for her for Halloween, Ashton's all excited about the idea. Mrs. Lacher asked me today to help with their big Halloween party and parade they do at the school. I sure hope my camera is back in time...sounds like fun! Enjoy!!

Planning for Halloween!

As the nerves of moving have kicked in, I'm busy getting the kids working on Halloween treats to pass out at our new house. I don't want to just pass out candy, why not "WOW" the neighbors with something special. I'm sure the neighbor kids will destroy them without much thought, but at least my kids today had fun making them. I thought they turned out pretty cute. I used my new Batty For You stamp set (which I'm in love with), scallop punch, 1 1/4 and 1 3/4 circle punches. The colors I used were very simple...black and orange, can't get much easier then that. Enjoy!
