More Christmas Cards....

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas.....I finally got a chance to go through the piles of mail we have been getting this past week. I loved reading all the Christmas letters and seeing all the wonderful picture cards....Thank You! I thought I better share a few more hand stamped cards I got. The scanner had a hard time tonight, so they didn't come out the best....At least you get an idea.

Card #1: Created by Treena Shearer, the blue snow flakes did not scan in...(sorry), the inside of her card is as cute as the outside...it says Wishing you loads of cheer. She stamped a girl in a pick up with presents in the back with trees in the background.

Card #2: Created by Jennifer Kettering, How silently, how silently the wondrous gift is given. The Christmas tree on the front is silver embossed and really pops! The blue snow flakes around the Christmas Tree did not scan. I think my scanner hates blue!

Card #3: Created by Angelynn Kaye Lyons-Reiger, Hark the Herald Angels Sing. She has added mulberry paper, cranberry color ribbon along with gold string.
Inside says: May the miracle of Christmas fill your heart with joy. (Love that saying)

Planning Ahead For the New Year

Today I got creative and made fridge magnets out of chipboard coasters for all my club gals, this is our last month. I thought I would do something special for them.....Also it is a fun way to show off our awesome new papers and Level 3 hostess set, that everyone can start earning in January. The new catalog is awesome and should be in your hands January 1st if you pre-ordered.

Happy Stamping!

My Punches Finally Have a Home....

Well, Matt finally got around to getting my towel bars put up in my craft room for my "MANY" punches. The only problem is I need one more towel bar, as I have punches still sitting on my desk. (Wal-mart is out for another week). I bought the cheapest towel bars I could find, they work perfect! I put a couple medium size punches on so you can see how the other size fits. I love to be able to just reach over and get the punch I want instead of digging through all the punches in a tote beside my desk. (Big time saver, as I LOVE to use punches) After Christmas I look forward to painting and finish organizing my craft room....this was a great start. Thanks Matt!!

I Love Christmas Cards....

Today I finally got time to scan in the two hand stamped cards I got. They were both adorable and hanging on my fridge.....I love hand stamped cards. This year I'm sad to say I only did half of my Christmas cards hand stamped, the other half were picture cards. I know I cheated! I hope to do better next year!! Hope everyone is having FUN and enjoying the holiday season.

Merry Christmas

Card #1: Created by Veronica Woodward (Wishing you a season of happy smiles)

Card #2: Created by Shelly Roberts, my Stampin' Up Manager (Picture Card with her beautiful family....Joy expressed, Love shared, a Miracle celebrated). They are looking forward to adopting their second child any day from Ethiopia.

Winter Paint Cans

Matt came to me the other night wanting ideas for gifts for his bosses. We talked about it for a couple days.....wanting to give something masculine, but something a little more then a gift card. Then I remembered my dad's famous Chocolate Chip Cookies that everyone just loves. Then I go the perfect idea!! Filling covered paint cans with cookies....so I got busy tonight covering the paint cans up. I wanted to keep them very simple, not a lot too fancy. I had fun making them....I got three done tonight and have three more to go. I wish I would have more designer dashing paper on hand, it is my favorite....Enjoy!

Project Supplies: Paint Cans (Menard's), SU Designer Paper (Card stock is a little too stiff for this project), glue dots, sticky tape for behind the embellishment and double stick tape to put the designer paper onto the can with, plus Misc. Stamps

Advent Calendar

I'm so sorry ladies I forgot this at Shelly's last night. I was so proud of this calendar, I had been working on it for a week and finally the day before club I finished it at 2am. Then I forgot it!! (Sorry) Things have been a little stressful for me with clearing out the books for Park Board, Christmas right around the corner, keeping up with the kids and trying to get settled. I'm a little overwhelmed! I hope everyone had a fun night in spite of my brain freeze! It was great seeing everyone again, I love familiar faces. Thank you June, you once again out did your self on the deserts, WOW!

Anyway, I attached direction on how to make the Advent Calendar under my links section. The canvas I purchased at Hobby Lobby for 40% off, buy lots of sticky tape as it will stick well and you won't have to worry about it coming off when you pull the tins off. I need to come up with something creative to put over the day you are on, so you don't have to remove the tins....just take the goodies out??? (Something I'll think about for awhile). I just think it is so cute, why take it apart! Tins I found at Party America for $10 for 12 tins, but I also heard Michael's has them and you can use a 40% off coupon. Hobby Lobby did not have them, you may also want to check online?! I cut the numbers out with my cricut and if you would like to make a calendar and would like the numbers cut out....I would gladly do that for you. I found that easier and saved me a LOT of cutting. I used Stampin' Up's Designer Papers, Scallop Punch, Circle Punches, Big Deal Alphabet Stamp Set, Markers and Certainly Celery Print Papers to make this Calendar.

Happy Stamping!

Christmas Card Design Complete

Yesterday I spent about 8 hours or more in my craft room working on our Christmas cards. I have about 65 done. Yeah! (My goal is around 100 so nobody gets left out this year). They are again, a lot of work!! I told myself this year we are going simple with the move and everything, I guess I was wrong! I had to do a lot of coloring, cutting, glittering and I even stitching. Yes, you read it right, I got out my needle and thread and stitched my cards together. Hard to see the glitter, but in person it is "WOW".

I did two variations of the card to use some more of my designer paper. I didn't want to get stuck with a bunch left over....worked out pretty well.
I just have a hard time scanning these cards straight. Sorry! Now I want to see your Christmas Card Designs. (E-mail me your designs at melsagaser@hotmail.com)
Card Basics: Certainly Celery & Basic Black Cardstock, Wintergreen and Rose Red Prints Designer Paper, Festive Favorites and Sincere Salutations Stamp Sets, Markers, Black Stazon Pad, Glitter and DMC Floss.

I'm Honored & Shocked!

I got an e-mail this afternoon...."Hi,I am in the process of creating my November newsletter for my customers and I would like to include a link to your scs gallery to show them your card done with the stamp set Love & Joy. I will be sure to give you credit for this sample. Are you okay with this? Thank you. Jeanette" I was speechless, shocked and honored that someone liked my work that much. Makes me want to go downstairs and be creative......
Here it is again, my Love & Joy Swap Card.

I'm Crazy, I'm Hooked!

Well tonight I decided to make these paper bows I have been seeing everywhere....they are so stinkin' cute! I just had to share. I've attached the link, where I got the pattern.
Club girls, be prepared we will be making bows! If I don't have all my two sided paper gone before then.....
This bow was done with our double sided "Winter Green" Paper.

Wild About You

Well, I actually started working with something other than my Halloween stuff. Yeah! I was ready for a change of pace. I have been working on this wall art for the kids' bathroom for a few hours. I still think it needs something....not sure though. (If I look at it enough, maybe I'll figure it out!!) It does look good in the bathroom though and ties in the blue nicely, which I was happy about. You have to see the whole bathroom to totally understand. I'm going to do a 12x12 scrapbook page for the other wall, I bought a cute shadow box from Hobby Lobby today....I just need to narrow down the pictures I'm going to use. My problem is there isn't enough hours in the day to get everything done that I want to do. Plus today was an off day for me...not feeling the best. (My neck and back are out of whack...throws me off a little.)
WANTED:
I am interested in seeing your Christmas Card Designs. If you created something that you would like to share, I want to post it to my site here and we'll vote for the best layout. I will be offering prizes. The cut off to submit your designs is November 30th. E-mail me at melsagaser@hotmail.com. Happy Stamping!!

Happy Halloween

Well, Halloween is finally just around the corner. I am proud to say I finished Ashton's Halloween treats early, all 25 of them. I bought Halloween Popcorn from Sam's Club, made a card front that I attached with sticky strip. Ashton's idea was to add the suckers right on the front, which turned out very cute. She is starting to take after her mama. (very proud) I thought for sure I would be burning the midnight oil tonight working on these....so tonight I will have time to put away my Halloween stamps and focus on Christmas.
Now is my time to start working on Christmas cards and gifts, which will be fast approaching. Yeah!!
Hope everyone has a fun, safe Halloween!!!

Count Down Is On....

Well, it is just a couple days until Halloween. Everyone in my house is soooo excited. It is all we can talk about. I have been slowly getting a goodies ready for Ashton's class, I'm sure I'll be up around the clock tonight to make sure it all gets done. A week ago I got the honor of paper crafting with a dear friend, Kim. We made these cute french fry holders and attempted to make a witches shoe, which didn't turn out as well as the pattern??? We'll for sure get it perfected for next year!! I thought I would show off the cute Halloween french fry holder, you can make these for any holiday or event. Enjoy!

I Love Halloween!

Can you believe it, I had time to stamp tonight?! I never thought the piles of boxes would end! We are still not completely unpacked, but are getting closer each day. Today I finally got my craft room unpacked....I always knew I had a lot of stamps, but today putting them away I was a little embarrassed. My craft room has a huge walk in closet, which I filled!!! I'll be taking pictures of my room as soon as I get my camera back from Sony...the shutter button fell off a couple days before our move. I think the good lord didn't want me to take pictures to remember all the boxes and the sad fact we took a semi load and a half to get here. Again another embarrassing moment......Here are the two Halloween cards I created tonight for Ashton's teacher, Mrs. Lacher. I'm doing a goodie basket for her for Halloween, Ashton's all excited about the idea. Mrs. Lacher asked me today to help with their big Halloween party and parade they do at the school. I sure hope my camera is back in time...sounds like fun! Enjoy!!

Treat Bags & More Treat Bags

The last few days all I have been doing is working on is Ashton's treat bags. Some for school, her last day was today. I made the "school" treat bags to match her Pirate Party theme. Then I made a few different one's for her birthday party tomorrow. The treasure chests will be painted...chocolate gold coin inside. The kids will go on a treasure hunt for the bags of bubble gum coins and fashion jewelry. Then before everyone leaves they will get another goodie bag full of; bubbles, tattoos, stickers, candy, pirate girl necklace and my annual "theme" magnet. Every party we throw we pass out matching theme magnets for the kids to take home. I started dating them so I can keep track.

Supplies used: Ahoy, Matey Stamp Set, Large Tag Punch, Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, Going Gray, Pixi Pink Markers and Card stock. (Non SU Ribbon and Magnet Roll)

Planning for Halloween!

As the nerves of moving have kicked in, I'm busy getting the kids working on Halloween treats to pass out at our new house. I don't want to just pass out candy, why not "WOW" the neighbors with something special. I'm sure the neighbor kids will destroy them without much thought, but at least my kids today had fun making them. I thought they turned out pretty cute. I used my new Batty For You stamp set (which I'm in love with), scallop punch, 1 1/4 and 1 3/4 circle punches. The colors I used were very simple...black and orange, can't get much easier then that. Enjoy!

We're Moving!

We'll tonight I finally got my "We've Moved" postcards done, all 45 of them. (I may need to make more???) I'm planning ahead, as the next couple weeks are going to be VERY busy. I wanted to keep them simple, but yet I have a way of complicating things. The coloring and cutting of the house did take the most time, but in the end I thought the extra time was worth it. I also added dimensionals behind the house to give it a little pop. Enjoy!!!

Card Details:
Right at Home stamp set (Retired), Whisper white, Night of Navy and Ruby Red Card stock.
Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Ruby Red and Going Gray Markers.

Spiral Punch

"One thing about using the spiral punch to cover chipboard journals: you must make a small slit about 1/16" from the top of the paper. Then fit the punch guide into this slit and begin punching the holes. Otherwise, the paper doesn't line up correctly on the cover."

Wedding Guest Book

I am finally getting my life back after a busy couple weeks. We found a house in Bismarck and I got my dear friend married off. I finished her guest book a few days before. (so not like me) I would have had it done months before, but life got away from me the past couple months. I used the front of her bridal shower invites for the guest book front. I then hand stamped the pages with the Baroque Motifs set, using the same colors. (Which I love) I then made three tabs with inserts for her to scrap pictures. An insert for her Bridal Shower, Pre-wedding Events, and Wedding Memories. It turned out super cute!!!

Crazy Life

Just when you think life can't get much crazier....it does. For everyone that isn't up to date on our latest adventure, Matt got a job in Bismarck. Yes, we are moving! (We don't know when) I have begun going through closets and trying to organize my life! I don't know how I will do under all the pressure!!! On top of it all, last minute I decided to do a rummage sale. (What was I thinking?) Then I had to squeeze time in to do my friend's wedding shower invites. It took me a week longer then I wanted, but I finished them tonight. They will hit the mail tomorrow! Yeah.....They went pretty quick, I used Chocolate Chip, Creamy Carmel and Very Vanilla with a little Close to Coco. Stacey liked it so much, she talked about getting it tattooed on her back.....I think she might have a copy right problem on her hands though??? I just love this set, it is in my all time favorites!!!
Enjoy!

Swap Cards...

I've been busy tonight trying to get my swap cards done for Thursday. Well I got two of the three done. Yeah!! I love working with the new paper!!! Both cards were done with the Cutie Pie Designer Paper....my new favorite!

I can't figure out why my scanner did such a bad job tonight. The colors are really washed out and hard to see. Sorry! At least you get an idea of what I have been working on.

Busy Day!

It has been so hot outside! So,I decided today is the day to finish my cousin's bag book. She stayed with us for almost 3 weeks and I really wanted her to take a little bit of us home with her. I thought it would be a great way for her to remember her time here!!! I wanted to keep it simple....even simple seemed to take forever!! Ashton is getting a book of her own similar to this one, I have a feeling I won't be getting it done for awhile! I have to clean up my craft room and begin work on my swaps for Thursday. Wish me luck!

P.S. I used cheap paper for this book, (Inserts were the nice SU paper), the letters on the front of the book are die cut (Circut)-otherwise the rest is done with SU supplies! (Some retired, some current) Enjoy!!!
