More Nugget Birthday Cakes

I am happy to say all three cakes are complete!! (Now I'm ready for the party tomorrow!!) Nugget Birthday Cake

Tonight I'm making three nugget cakes for the BIG birthday party that is taking place tomorrow. My Uncle and Aunt (Twins) turn 70 and my Grandma is celebrating her 90th birthday! When I post the other two cakes I'll be sharing details on how to make these fun cakes.

Bowling T-Shirts

Bowling Shirts are complete and I LOVE them!!! My husband was so pleased he thought we needed to each wear one to the party. I can't wait to see my oldest daughter's face tomorrow morning, as I was having problems today getting the iron on's to print correctly and I was about to give up. I had today to get everything ready as I work tomorrow, I was really feeling the pressure. After I found the right software to download, which I was happy to discover was free, the process was simple. Yeah!! We decided to split the girls into teams and each girl will get a Green or White shirt depending on what team she'll be on. Each team will get awards and prizes, which I'm still in the process of working on. The goodie bags are finally together and I added a special laminated book mark for each of the girls with their name on it, with a cute little saying on the back thanking them for coming. It should be a fun day....I just hope Mom and Dad survive!

Bowling Party

Party planning is underway for Ashton's 8th Birthday Party. We decided after weeks of deliberating on a Bowling themed party, after last year I was determined to have a party away from the house! We don't any more accidents or incidents in 2009! I made the invites last night with my Circut and SU's circle 3/4 circle punch. I printed the details on the back and used my SU corner rounder...couldn't have been easier! I was happy with how they turned out. I just hope the T-shirts we are making for all the girls work out that nicely.

Sports Birthday Invites

Hard to believe my babies are going to be 5 in a few short weeks....freaks me out a little!! Anyway, as always birthday's are always a challenge for us boy/girl twins, to decide on a theme. Last year we had a Princess & Spiderman/Water Fun Party. Lots of water balloons involved I might add! I guess anything goes!!! This year believe it or not they decided to have a sports themed party. They thought it would be fun to play some basketball, baseball and maybe even do a mini golf course. We'll see how that one goes!! I guess they can't keep everything easy!! I got the invitations done today, just need to type up the details and add them to the inside and we'll be good to go....weather permitting that is. If it can snow the first week in June, anything is possible!!

Western Birthday Party Planning

The piles of birthday party stuff is taking over my dining room, by next Sunday my house will be back to normal again. (I thought I would share what I have been up to....I am always looking for party ideas when planning any type of event, so I thought maybe this might be of help to someone) I have been busy this morning getting the goodie bags done, I decided last minute to go with the brown bag with a rope tie. I thought it went with the theme a little better? Inside I have added huge Licorice Ropes (which I had to roll a few times to get them to fit), Cow Tales, Western Tattoos, Jolly Ranchers, Western Pencil with boot eraser, Western Activity Set, Rope Bracelets and Bandanna Mints. On the outside of the bags I am going to add a "Cowgirl" Backpack tag that I made with my cricut and laminated. We usually do a themed fridge magnet for each birthday, but after seeing Missy's back to school backpack tags I thought a cowgirl tag would be perfect. I hope the girls like them! I also finished up the little buckets of Fool's Gold (aka yellow M&M's) that will be at each girl's seat at the table. It might have been cheaper to pick the yellow one's out of the bag, but I bought these at the party store and I barely got enough to fill the buckets for $15.00. (OUCH) Oh, well...now I'm off to practice making the Baked Potato Ice Cream Sundaes. This should be interesting. I got the recipe for the "Cowgirl Hall of Fame." (Wish me luck)

"Cowgirl" Western Birthday Party

Well today I finally got on my planning hat, Ashton and I hashed out what the best birthday party theme would be for her 7th birthday. It was hard to come up with something to top last year's Pirate Party. (We try to do non gender themes as we do end up inviting boys and girls) We were kind of leaning toward a carnival this year, then after much discussion we agreed on a Western "Cowgirl" Birthday Party. We will be having a Hoe Down (Square Dance), Horse Races, Wild West Shoot Out, Hay Rides, Watermelon Spitting Contest and we can't forget about Panning for Gold. I bought some cute boot sun catchers for them to paint and cowboy boot pinata to bust open. We talked about serving Root Beer or Cactus Juice for drinks and have Licorice Ropes for a snack, I haven't come up with anything clever for the cake or cupcakes. Any ideas let me know!!! (I did see a horse shoe cake pan at hobby lobby~ just don't know how cute that would be??) Anyway, enough details....here is Ashton's Western Birthday Party Invitations.

Party Time

Despite the fact that I am suffering from a huge migraine today, I finished up Aiden and Adison's brirthday party invitations. (What we don't do for our children). I knew if I didn't get them in the mail today, we may as well not have a party (It's on Saturday)......things have been a little crazy around here.

Treat Bags & More Treat Bags

The last few days all I have been doing is working on is Ashton's treat bags. Some for school, her last day was today. I made the "school" treat bags to match her Pirate Party theme. Then I made a few different one's for her birthday party tomorrow. The treasure chests will be painted...chocolate gold coin inside. The kids will go on a treasure hunt for the bags of bubble gum coins and fashion jewelry. Then before everyone leaves they will get another goodie bag full of; bubbles, tattoos, stickers, candy, pirate girl necklace and my annual "theme" magnet. Every party we throw we pass out matching theme magnets for the kids to take home. I started dating them so I can keep track.
