Change of Pace...

Through all the craziness of raising a family, activities, school, trying keeping up with my hobbies and of course working full time.  I am having issues finding the time to post to my blog.....I have found  I can still keep in touch, inspire others and stay on top my facebook page.  I have found this type of social media much easier for me at the time....hope you enjoy the change of pace. (Click on the facebook page, for a link to my projects)

I was so sad when Stampin' Up Retired Booglie Eyes.....so I was thrilled when I saw Googly Ghouls in the new Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog.  They even have the perfect size Googlies.  Way to go Stampin' Up!  Holiday Mini starts August 1st and ends January 2nd.

Fabulous Fabric

Since I am giving away a Stampin' Up Sizzix Big Shot to one lucky lady in my stamp club on Monday it is only fitting to show off how amazing the Big Shot is.  I've been busy creating....as I waited patiently for my Stampin' Up Fabric's to arrive I made my girls some fun "trendy" headbands and bracelets.  It caused a little bit of a fuss at our house as they LOVED them.  I hope you do too.

Rain Day

Amazing....after all the sunshine and beautiful weather we were finally blessed with a rain day.  Not only was it a blessing for my veggie and flower gardens, it was also a great break for me to close my craft room door and get things caught up.  I've been wanting to make these Big Shot Petite Purses since I bought the die 3 months ago and then this new "Happy Hour" stamp set came last month.....I was excited to play!   Hope your having a fantastic summer!~

Schools Almost Out

Hard to believe school is almost out....I can feel the excitement every day in the Junior High where I work and at home with my kiddos.  In this rush to finish off the next two days of school, I am overwhelmed by my to do list.....plus gearing up for all the summer activities!  The lists seem to go on and on.  No matter how long the list, one thing I always sneak to the top of my list is little gifts for all the kiddo's on the last day of school.  Even though the thought of making around 100 of something seems overwhelming....I still enjoy every moment.  I also have to admit I totally stole this idea, thanks to pinterest.  The web site for instructions on how to make these cute last day of school gifts can be found here, plus the free printable.  I was able to make each of these for around $.36 each.  If you can find the Kool-aide on sale, that would make them even cheaper!  I didn't plan ahead so I was stuck paying full price!  Looking at them though, it was so worth it!

Stampin' Up Retirement lists

Wow!  I must have been busy, I looked at my last post and it was from February....really?  lol  Where did March and April go?  I am sad and excited to post the Retirement lists for Stampin' Up Stamps and Accessories.  I always have a hard time saying goodbye to some of my favorite things, but I always have room in my heart for new!  I am going to miss the 3x5 Cello bags which I can guarantee I will be stocking up on. When you see the Accessories list you'll notice the ink pads are retiring, not to worry. All the colors are staying with the exception of the In Colors (2010-2012) The ink pads are getting a make over and I'm super excited!!  Stampin' Up is refomulating Basic Black, Gray, Marina Mist, Perfect Plum and Tempting Turquoise. 

You will also notice a lot of the 12 x12 cardstock and markers on the hit list.  They are being reconfigured also.  Not all the 12x12 cardstock colors will be available in individual packs anymore.  Color assortment packs will be available, and only some colors from each color collection will be available in individual packs.  Stampin' Write Markers in more popular colors will still be available individually.  Color assortment packs will still be available.  So, if you have a particular color of cardstock that you can't live without in 12x12 size, you better order Up! 

Even though you are seeing a lot of your favorite stamp sets and products going away.  In each new catalog Stampin' Up! always supplies us with fresh stamp sets and up to date accessories that make our products fabulous.  It's okay, change is good (even though I don't like it!)  and 6 months from now we won't even remember what was on that list!

Valentine's Box

I am still here...been really busy with last minute projects.  Yes, I have been creating just not posting.  Here is my daughter's Valentine Box that I wanted to share.  It is almost 100% Stampin' Up....down to the box we put together.  It is made out of 12x12 chipboard that came in my Stampin' Up Designer Papers.  Then Covered in 12x12 Black Scrapbook Paper.  Only items not Stampin' Up are the Pink Foam Ribbon and Black Duct Tape.  Enjoy!
