Friendship

Today is my co-workers last day and I planned a little going away party for her at work. I wanted to make something to show her how much her friendship has meant to me this past year...I decided on making a sizzix basket out of our new Designer Paper "Sending Love" and filled it with Hershey's Nuggets. As you can tell I'm on a "candy" kick...Enjoy!

Sweet Treats

Another one of my donations for the silent auction...this heart candy dish is full of of covered peppermint patties. I used my new favorite "Heart" Stamp Set, I (heart) Hearts out of the Occasions Mini. The tag was super simple because of the acrylic blocks. I would never have been able to line up the saying inside the heart like that otherwise! Nothing could be sweeter....

Stamp Sets: Well Scripted (Love You Much Saying), I (Heart) Hearts Ink: Real Red Cardstock: Real Red, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White SU Punches: Scallop, 1 3/8 & 1 1/4 Circle Misc: Red Dotted Ribbon, Peppermint Patties & Heart Candy Dish.

Sending Love

I'm so excited for Valentine's Day after making this "Super" cute Mailbox today. I've been hoarding these mail boxes for a couple years now...I think I bought 50 of them at Target at the time. I've used a few, but for sure have a lifetime supply!! This Valentine Gift Set is a donation for a Silent Auction & Chocolate Fantasy Fundraiser for the Abuse Resource Center in Lisbon, ND. I was excited to use all my "New" stamp sets out of the Occasions Mini and I have to confess I LOVE our new acrylic blocks!!!! I can't get enough of them!! What I love is that our SU stamps are still rubber, but they go on and off these awesome acrylic blocks....Super easy to store!! The cases are amazing with the design on the outside, which saves me time when searching for a stamp set. Now if only I could change out my 300+ wood mounted stamp sets sitting in my closet. UGH! If you haven't tried these new stamps...it is a must! Hope everyone is having a fantastic week....Enjoy!

Echoes of Kindness

I'm sure your all in shock...I made a card! I've been working on so many other projects these days, card making has been put on the back burner, sorry! I was thrilled finally use my Echoes of Kindness stamp set for this sympathy card. (It's for a high school friend that lost his brother last week) The water coloring on the flowers look amazing in person, a technique I haven't used in awhile.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

I am happy to say all three cakes are complete!! (Now I'm ready for the party tomorrow!!) Here is a link to where I saw the nugget cakes, I didn't make mine as big as, I knew I didn't want to be up all night wrapping candy bars. (http://www.wrapcandy.com/candy_cake.php) I have enclosed 5 easy steps for making these fun cakes. I think I'll be making more, they are a little addicting!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! Hope everyone is settling into 2010. I'm excited for the new year and everything that it will bring. My first project of 2010 was a Sweet 16 Gift Basket for a family friend. I had so much fun making it! I even got so excited I forgot to take a picture of the matching card because I wanted to get it delivered. The basket included: Cupcake pan, plate, ceramic cupcake filled with chocolate kisses, cake mix, different types of sprinkles, frosting, note pad with matching pens, few cupcake goodies, book on cupcake designs, cupcake liners, "sock cupcakes" and can't forget a matching pink scarf. Yummy! (Scarf is hard to see as I used it for filler to keep everything from falling over inside the basket.) To tie everything together I used Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper from Stampin' Up. The Melon Mambo matched the basket perfectly! What a great way to start the New Year!

Stamp Sets: Crazy 4 Cupcakes, Big Bold Birthday and Simple Birthday Thanks Non SU: Cricut Celebrations & Printing 101 Cartridge.
